How do you bill for your services?
I bill hourly for our one-time/initial consultations, as well as ongoing full-service design projects. Please email or call to set up a 15-minute complimentary phone call to discuss the scope of your project in order for the provision of an estimate. This will also give me the opportunity to answer any further questions you may have about my process.
Do you have a project minimum?
Yes, my project minimum for the full-service design of a space is $20,000. This is the total budget for the space including design, trades, materials, and furnishings. Expect design fees to account for approximately 10-20% of your budget. There is no minimum budget for virtual consultations.
Where do we begin?
Once we have had our 15-minute call and determined working together would be a good mutual fit we will begin with an initial 90 minute onsite or online consultation. During this time I get to know you, your vision, desires for the project, and get the “lay of the land” so to speak. After this meeting, I will prepare a full design proposal including budget, drawings, furnishings, and timeline for your review. Once approvals are received work begins!
What is the WELL AP designation?
This designation represents science and research-based recommendations for making the spaces we inhabit healthier for all. Better health means more productive and happier individuals. Although all of the research is current, you will see the wisdom of ancient civilizations and cultures in many of these principals.
Will you work with trades people that have already been selected?
I am skilled at seamlessly working with tradespeople, contractors, architects already working on your project. If you are starting from scratch I can recommend high quality professionals that I think may be a good fit for your project.
Will you travel for a project?
I am always excited to see new projects and work in new places. If there is space in my schedule and the timing works for all parties I am happy to accommodate.
